Terror Management Zine Out Now!

Whelp, finally.

Terror Management Zine Out Now!

Sorry it’s been a while, save a somewhat cryptic message sent through this channel a few weeks ago. However, I emerge from the content mines with fresh wares: a physical zine! Get it right here: store.terror.management. It’s only €5!

Physical, I say? Yes! Because being a financial genius the likes of which the world has not seen before, I have decided to enter the booming print publishing business.

My first entry is called Terror Management –indeed, very much like this newsletter you are laying eyes on right now. They are, then, inextricably linked.

This printed publication is an attempt at linking the many ways we process death, both consciously and subconsciously, to a series of records and songs.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because this zine is a rework, a refocusing of this digital project you’re reading at this moment. For it, I have taken pieces from this newsletter and reshuffled and rewritten them, as well as added some new ideas, so that it all can stand as a work unto itself.

The five pieces are:

To top it all off, Greg Bennick was so kind to write a foreword. In case you haven’t heard of him, he’s known from bands such as Trial, Bystander, Between Earth & Sky and as an inspiring professional speaker, not to mention as film maker or a member of the notorious suckXitXdown crew.

I’m truly humbled he took the time to help me out with this project of mine.

Forty pages, a tad over 6000 words about death and loud music. What a bargain.

I’ve had 100 copies printed and went through the trouble of hand-numbering them. While I’m sure it’s not going to be a doorbusting, Black Friday-type of sellout event, please know that I’m not planning on printing more at the moment (not against the notion, but this is expensive enough as it is), so please get one while they’re available.

If you should be so inclined, you could purchase one or more copies at the store I set up for this purpose: store.terror.management.

Notes on shipping:

I’m shipping from the Netherlands. Should you be outside of Europe, I’m happy (more than, even!) to send it over, but be aware shipping is somewhat pricey. Please know I’m selling this zine at cost, so hopefully that’ll make it a bit more of an acceptable purchase.

Also, I’m doing this in my spare time. I’m not Amazon (thank the maker). Please expect a few days between your order coming in and me shipping it out. Thank you in advance for your patience.

That’s it.

That’s what I’ve been working on for a few months during my off-time.

I hope you’ll like it.

Regular newsletter publication will resume early 2023.

As always, thank you for reading.
